Samsung Unveils Greener Cell Phones
Electronics manufacturing giant, Samsung, has unveiled new eco-friendly mobile phones, the SCH-W510 and SGH-F268. The rear battery door of the SCH-W510 is constructed of a bioplastic material that uses cornstarch. The phone’s metal finishing is also environmentally friendly, using an antibacterial covering. The SGH-F268 is constructed completely without any harmful brominated flame retardants (BFR) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The phones will first be available in China. See Samsung and MobileBurn for more information.
